Planted Passion has completed our organic produce certification journey, a period known as “In-Conversion”, and we are now FULLY ORGANIC thanks to certifying body, Southern Cross Certified.

  • Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) do not enter the system at any point, 
  • Synthetic substances that are made in a laboratory and do not occur in nature, such as pesticides, herbicides and fungicides do not enter the system (however each standard allows some exceptions to this), 
  • Soil, water and the environment are managed sustainably, 
  • Animals are well cared for and can act and behave as nature intended,
  • Accurate records are kept ensuring the above principals are verifiable and auditable. 

So, what does this mean?

In short, it means that from the seed we use, to the compost and products we apply on the plant - it all must be an approved Allowed Input for organic farming. 


We aim to pick often and to order thereby cutting down time in cool room (and energy resources).


Once harvested, we use as sustainable as possible packaging (down to our rubber bands made from a sustainable resource!) to move our produce to our clients.

In order to become fully organic, producers must meet the National Standard for Organic & Biodynamic Produce. This is a requirement by Southern Cross Certification, our certifying body. Additionally, we are regularly audited and  we keep our farming and handling practices/records compliant.
